Tottenham news: Mousa Dembele makes fans cry with good luck message ahead of Champions League final

Speaking ahead of the club’s Champions League final against Liverpool, the midfielder posted a message of support to his former team-mates – and left scores of fans in tears!

Mousa Dembele has wished Spurs well ahead of the final

Dembele left the club in January after seven years in north London, to join Chinese club Guangzhou R&F and had played twice for Spurs during the group stages of the competition this season.

Ahead of tonight’s all-English clash, the Belgian midfielder was, unsurprisingly, backing Mauricio Pochettino’s men to overcome the odds once more.

“Hi guys, I just want to wish you guys good luck,” he says in a video on Spurs’ Twitter page.

“Enjoy this and it’s a shame for myself that I’m not there anymore, but I don’t know anyone who deserves this more than you guys to be honest, so enjoy it, go get it and good luck. Love you guys.”

And that was enough to set some supporters off…

Tottenham and Liverpool fans have been warned about criminals posing as stewards in an attempt to steal their Champions League final tickets.

“The Spanish police have seized fake steward bibs, fake devices for the technical ticket check, as well as fake accreditations,” said a statement from European football’s governing body.

“This makes us believe that an organised group of people, impersonating genuine stewards or officials might try to act as if they were conducting the visual or technical ticket check, with the aim of stealing tickets during such controls.

“Supporters should therefore make sure they only show their tickets at the clearly marked check zones and not to individuals or small groups of people who could be wearing fake bibs and might approach them on the way to the stadium, outside of the official check zones.”
