Tottenham transfer news: Christian Eriksen and Fernando Llorente could make way for Andre Gomes and Ryan Sessegnon

Tottenham are to set have a busy summer in the transfer market with a number of players on Mauricio Pochettino’s radar.

Spurs have not made any additions to their squad since they signed Champions League hero Lucas Moura in January of last season, and, now that top four is secured and their new stadium is built, a big spend in the window is long overdue, while it is being reported the club have already concluded a deal for 15-year-old Norwegian goalkeeper, Isak Solberg.

But who could be on their way to the club? talkSPORT.com has taken a look at all the transfer gossip surrounding the north London outfit.

Andre Gomes, who has just enjoyed a solid season in midfield for Everton on loan from Barcelona, is one of Pochettino’s targets and a fee of £35m will reportedly be enough for the Catalan giants to part ways with the player.

The Sun report the two parties are ‘nearing an agreement’ and a deal for the playmaker could be concluded soon.

A deal is also said to be close for Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon.

The youngster had a difficult season for the Cottagers as his side struggled on their return to the Premier League, but Lilywhite deal-makers have not been put off and still believe Sessegnon has the talent to excel at a higher level.

Gareth Bale is another player whose name is doing the rounds in the rumour mill and the Welshman has consistently been linked with a return to Spurs.

However, according to reports, if the 29-year-old was to return to north London it would be as part of a £10million season-long loan.

It has been said Real will take an offer where a club pays around £250,000-a-week for Bale’s wages – believed to be in excess of £600,000 – in addition to the £10m fee.

The idea of Spurs taking Bale permanently has been ruled out, while his pay packet will also prove to be an obstacle.

The player left Tottenham for Real in an £85m transfer in 2013 and, despite winning four Champions League trophies in his time there, he has been booed by his own fans.

Now it appears Zidane is doing everything he can to force him out.

Outs

Talks are still ongoing between the club and Christian Eriksen over a new deal and Pochettino is hopeful a new contract can be agreed.

The 27-year-old playmaker has one year left on a contract that earns him a reported £70,000-a-week.

“I hope and wish Christian can be with us in the future,” Pochettino said.

“I think Christian and us, we are so open to talk and we will see what happens. It’s a situation that’s a very special one and Christian is a special person. The timing for him or for the club to be agreeing something is maybe different to another player.”

Meanwhile, Spurs are reportedly set to allow Fernando Llorente to leave the club, despite his heroic performances in the Champions League.

The north Londoners are seemingly ready to cut ties with the 35-year-old Spaniard and delve into the market to find a younger back-up to Harry Kane.
