Sarri is believed to have travelled to Italy to negotiate a deal with Juventus.

The 60-year-old had a turbulent first season at Stamford Bridge and was reportedly on the verge of being sacked at one stage.

Chelsea’s season ended with a third place finish in the Premier League and they beat Arsenal in the Europa League final to secure Sarri the first ever silverware of his career.

Jorginho arrived at Stamford Bridge from Napoli last summer, along with Sarri.

The Italy international spoke about Sarri’s potential departure ahead of his country’s Euro 2020 qualifier with Greece.

“It would be sad because I think (Sarri) did a good job,” Jorginho said.

“We finished third in the Premier League, we won the Europa League and we reached the EFL Cup final despite all the critics.

“It was a good first season in Chelsea. It would be sad for everyone.

“The Napoli fans still have him in their hearts; it’s normal that they could get angry. They could treat it as a betrayal; they’re like that. We’ll see what happens.”

Frank Lampard, Javi Gracia and Allegri himself have all been linked with succeeding Sarri in the Stamford Bridge dugout should he depart this summer.
