One’s on £500k-a-week, the other is on 500,000 gallons a week and both are hardly Manchester United legends.
But who was worse: Alex Sanchez or talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil?
There are reports circulating that United want rid of the player they brought to the club from Arsenal in January 2018, which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan move the other way.
It is claimed the club are prepared to pay half of Sanchez’s £26m salary if it means he leaves Old Trafford this summer.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, however, will have the final say on who stays and who leaves.
LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Sanchez has played 31 Premier League games for the Red Devils, scoring three goals – even Mr Brazil did better than that!
In his 31 league appearances, the former Scotland international managed eight goals between 1984 and 1986 having joined from Tottenham in a £625,000 deal.
Sanchez has struggled to recapture the form that made him such an attractive signing, having scored 24 Premier League goals in his last full season – 2016/17 – at Arsenal, with Manchester City thought to have been keen on him, too.
United would rather he moves abroad than to a Premier League rival. According to the Mail, the club believe the best hope they have of getting him out this summer is on loan. This would enable them to renegotiate an alternative exit route for the 30-year-old ahead of the 2020/21 season, particularly if he shows signs of getting back to his best.
Inter have made progress in their attempts to sign Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian this summer, who will be available on a free transfer at the expiry of his contract. The 29-year-old began his career with city rivals AC Milan before establishing himself at Torino and earning a move to Old Trafford in 2015.
