Ally McCoist has risked the wrath of Scotland fans, nay, Scottish people, by admitting he loves watching Gareth Southgate’s England team play.
The Three Lions have enjoyed the perfect start to their Euro 2020 qualification campaign this past week, putting ten goals past Czech Republic and Montenegro in back-to-back victories.
But the international break has been less kind to fans north of the border.
Scotland, attempting to qualify for a first major tournament in more than 20 years, got their campaign off to the worst possible start with a 3-0 defeat to Kazakhstan.
Speaking on talkSPORT, McCoist branded the humiliating result as one of the worst in his proud nation’s football history.

The followed up that defeat with a 2-0 victory over San Marino, but their poor performance against the worst international side in the world did not exactly make amends and heaped further pressure on manager Alex McCleish.
And, with his nation struggling, former Rangers striker McCoist admitted the very thing no Scotland fan wanted to hear…
Best lay low for a while, Ally.
