Arsenal news: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette set to be offered ‘huge new deals’

Arsenal will offer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette huge new deals to fend off potential interest from other clubs, reports claim.

The two star strikers have carried the Gunners to a large extent this season, scoring almost half of the club’s Premier League goals between them.

And according to the Daily Mail, the pair are set to be rewarded with offers for new contracts worth £250,000-a-week.

Their future at the Emirates may depend on whether or not Arsenal qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Lacazette and Aubameyang grabbed all seven goals during the Gunners’ 7-3 aggregate victory over Valencia in their Europa League semi-final to set up a showdown with Chelsea in Baku.

Arsenal require a three-point and eight-goal swing on the final day to leapfrog Tottenham into fourth, so it seems Europa League glory is their only realistic route into Europe’s elite club competition.

The club will be keen to prevent Lacazette and Aubameyang running down their contracts and leaving for nothing, like Aaron Ramsey will when he joins Juventus this summer.

Lacazette, who was named Arsenal’s Player of the Year at their end-of-season awards, has emerged as a target for Spanish giants Barcelona.
