Moise Kean celebration: talkSPORT caller Ă¢€˜ashamed to be Juventus fan and ItalianĂ¢€™ following abuse and blasts Leonardo Bonucci reaction

A talkSPORT caller has said he is Ă¢€˜embarrassed to be a Juventus supporterĂ¢€™ after hearing Leonardo BonucciĂ¢€™s reaction to the racist abuse suffered by team-mate Moise Kean against Cagliari.

Italian teenager Kean, 19, was subjected to racist chants all night from sections of the home support and Ă¢€“ like Raheem Sterling against Montenegro Ă¢€“ responded by scoring a goal and standing with his arms raised in front of the Cagliari supporters.

2

Moise Kean brilliantly responded to Cagliari by scoring his side’s second goal

But Juve defender Bonucci sensationally claimed after the match that Kean provoked the racial abuse he suffered, saying Ă¢€˜the blame is 50-50Ă¢€™.

The 31-year-old has come under heavy fire for his comments, which he has since said were ‘misundersood’, including from England star Sterling who branded them ‘laughable’.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has also faced criticism for saying Kean should have risen above the chants and ‘shouldn’t have celebrated in that manner’.

And Benito, a Juve fan and native Italian, called into talkSPORT to vent his outrage and shame with his club and nation.

Ă¢€Å“IĂ¢€™m absolutely disgusted – itĂ¢€™s infuriating,Ă¢€ he said on Wednesday nightĂ¢€™s Sports Bar.

Ă¢€Å“I love Juventus and my country, Italy, but weĂ¢€™re 50 years behind compared to England with the way we treat black footballers and black people in general.

Ă¢€Å“Kean is fantastic, heĂ¢€™s a young prospect, heĂ¢€™s the future of the club and for Italy, too.

Ă¢€Å“What happened to him was horrible, but then the reaction is even worse.

Ă¢€Å“I expected Bonucci to protect him, put an arm around him.

Ă¢€Å“With what heĂ¢€™s said, IĂ¢€™d get him out of the Juventus squad and my national squad as well. HeĂ¢€™s our captain, heĂ¢€™s supposed to be representing us and heĂ¢€™s saying itĂ¢€™s half KeanĂ¢€™s fault for the reaction of the fans.

Ă¢€Å“I feel embarrassed to be Italian and a Juve fan. WeĂ¢€™re not just white, weĂ¢€™re black and white, I Bianconeri!

Ă¢€Å“Allegri as well, heĂ¢€™s almost blaming the player for the crowdĂ¢€™s reaction.Ă‚ ItĂ¢€™s not the playerĂ¢€™s fault, heĂ¢€™s done nothing wrong whatsoever on the pitch.

Ă¢€Å“He is who he is, you donĂ¢€™t discriminate him for the colour of his skin, you judge him for his ability of the pitch and he is top class.

Ă¢€Å“ItĂ¢€™s disgusting.Ă¢€

Liverpool 4-0 Barcelona: Catalan newspaper forgets to unschedule video celebrating LaLiga club’s Champions League victory

One Catalan newspaper accidentally tweeted out a video celebrating Barcelona reaching the Champions League final.

The Spanish club were heavy favourites ahead of the semi-final second leg at Anfield as they began the match with a 3-0 aggregate lead.

However, against all the odds, Liverpool stunned the LaLiga champions – thrashing them 4-0 to reach their second European Cup final in a row.

The performance has been labelled as one of the greatest ever comebacks in football.

Catalan daily Sport were left feeling a little red-faced, though, as they forgot to stop their celebratory video from being publish.

The publication were evidently so confident Barcelona would go through they had the video already scheduled in on Twitter.

When the unlikely comeback happened the video still went out saying the Spanish club were in to the Champions League final to face either Tottenham or Ajax.

The Reds had an almost impossible task of overturning a 3-0 deficit from the first leg. The Reds were beaten last week at Camp Nou by a Lionel Messi brace and Luis SuarezĂ¢€™s lone strike.

However, doubles from Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum gaveĂ‚ Jurgen KloppĂ¢€™s men a 4-0 win on Tuesday night to book their place in next monthĂ¢€™s Champions League final.

Mislintat joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in December 2017.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is reportedly set to have a small transfer budget to spend on new players this summer, which is believed to be one of the reasons why Mislintat left.

Arsenal were unable to make any permanent signings in the January transfer window and only managed to secure a loan move for Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez, who is yet to start a game.

Manchester City’s players were buzzing. They were one game away from an appearance at Wembley and a place in the 1969 FA Cup final.

Wins against Luton, Newcastle, Blackburn and Tottenham en route to the semi-final left them feeling unbeatable.

“We just felt confident and then our biggest hurdle was in facing Everton in the semi-final at Villa Park,” Francis Lee told mancity.com.

And in attempt to rouse his troops the club’s chairman decided to deliver a motivational pre-match speech to the players.

It was pretty unusual, however.

“Albert Alexander our then chairman made a tear-jerking speech ahead of the game,” Lee said.

“The dressing room was reeking of embrocation when Joe suddenly said: ‘Quiet boys, the chairman would like a few words with you.’

“Albert, bless him, came in and said: ‘It’s a very good to be here. Good luck to everybody and if we win, we can get to Wembley. Then we’ll get plenty of money and win in front of a big crowd and then we can buy some new better players!’

“You can imagine how well that went down!”

It certainly motivated them to perform as a Tommy Booth goal earned City a 1-0 win and a place against Leicester in the final.

Sven-Goran Eriksson EXCLUSIVE: Former England manager ‘honoured’ to be linked with Scotland job, but unaware of interest

Sven-Goran Eriksson has told talkSPORT he would be ‘honoured’ to become Scotland manager after reports linked the former England boss with the vacant job.

Scottish newspaper Daily Record reported on Thursday that ex-Three Lions chief Eriksson had ‘contacted’ the SFA about succeeding Alex McLeish, who was sacked last week after just 12 matches in charge.

It was also claimed the Swedish coachĂ¢€™s name was on a list of leading candidates put forward during a board meeting at Hampden this week.

And, speaking exclusively to talkSPORT host Jim White, Sven insisted he is up for taking the job, admitting he would definitely discuss the position were he offered it.

However, he did say he’s never expressed his interest in the post, denying reports claiming he has thrown his hat into the ring.

Ă¢€Å“This is absolutely news to me,” Eriksson said on Thursday morning. “I never heard about it and I never thought about it.

Ă¢€Å“But I havenĂ¢€™t thought at all about it. WeĂ¢€™ll see if itĂ¢€™s happening, if thereĂ¢€™s something behind it or not.Ă¢€

Sven-Goran Eriksson’s last job was in charge of the Philippines national team

Eriksson revealed he still has a great appetite to return to management, although admitted he is Ă¢€˜not a specialistĂ¢€™ on Scottish football.

The experienced boss has been out of work since January when he left his role as head coach of the Philippines national team, after suffering three defeats in the Asian Cup against South Korea, China and Kyrgyzstan.

He took that role in October 2018, after he was sacked by Chinese League One side Shenzhen following a run of nine games without victory.

But, asked if he has a hunger to return to football, the 71-year-old added: Ă¢€Å“Yes absolutely.

Ă¢€Å“The passport is saying I am a certain age, but I donĂ¢€™t feel it. I still like to work, I love football.

Ă¢€Å“So if something interesting comes up I will go for it. If nothing happens, okay, thatĂ¢€™s it. WeĂ¢€™ll see.

Ă¢€Å“There are a lot of people still going at my age and doing well Ă¢€“ Roy Hodgson is one of them. I donĂ¢€™t feel old and IĂ¢€™m healthy, so I hope to sit on the bench again one day.

Odds slashed on former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson taking over as Oxford United manager

3

Eriksson has been in charge of 13 clubs and four national teams during his 42-year managerial career so far

Ă¢€Å“I havenĂ¢€™t followed Scottish football for some years. IĂ¢€™ve seen some games and know some players but IĂ¢€™m not a specialist on it in this moment, absolutely not.

Ă¢€Å“But if you take on any football job itĂ¢€™s a challenge, itĂ¢€™s a full-time job for sure, more than full-time.Ă¢€

Ă¢€˜If Tottenham win the Champions League I’m moving to AustraliaĂ¢€™, vows former Arsenal star Perry Groves

Former Arsenal star Perry Groves has told talKSPORT heĂ¢€™ll Ă¢€˜move to AustraliaĂ¢€™ if Tottenham win the Champions League.

Gunners fans may well be looking over at their north London rivals with a degree of jealousy at the moment, if they compare their progress in Europe this season.

Alexandre Lacazette scored the only goal as Arsenal beat Italian giants Napoli

Arsenal secured a 1-0 away victory over Napoli on Thursday night to book their place in the Europa League semi-finals, winning 3-0 on aggregate.

Lifting the trophy is a very real possibility Ă¢€“ manager Unai Emery won it three years on the trot in charge of Sevilla Ă¢€“ but even if they do, they could find their achievement eclipsed by their neighbours.

Through to the last four of the Champions League after beating Manchester City in a simply insane quarter-final clash, Spurs have also been dealt the comparatively easier half of the draw as they face Ajax in the semis, while Liverpool take on Barcelona.

Tottenham are though to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time

2

Tottenham are though to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time

ThereĂ¢€™s every possibility, then, that two European trophies could head back to north London this season.

And if that happens, Groves – a die-hard Gooner – doesnĂ¢€™t want to be anywhere near EnglandĂ¢€¦ or this continent.

Ă¢€Å“If Spurs win the Champions League, IĂ¢€™m gone, IĂ¢€™m off to Australia,Ă¢€ he told talkSPORT host Jim White on Friday.

Ă¢€Å“Can you imagine the season that lot get through to the Champions League final and win it? Oh my good God.

Ă¢€Å“Any other England team, great!

Ă¢€Å“I must admit, it would be hats off to Pochettino, you have to give him credit for the job heĂ¢€™s done this season, with Harry Kane being injured, playing at Wembley, having limited resources etc. ItĂ¢€™s between him and Jurgen Klopp for manager of the year, even if they get beat in the semi-final.

Ă¢€Å“But, thereĂ¢€™s still a chance for them to be Spursy because theyĂ¢€™re the favourites for this game. ThereĂ¢€™s still a chance for them to choke, and please God let them choke!

Ă¢€Å“IĂ¢€™d watch the final from afar, from Australia, just in case. IĂ¢€™ll be there already.

Ă¢€Å“IĂ¢€™d watch it and whoever theyĂ¢€™re playing against, idĂ¢€™ want them to batter Spurs

Ă¢€Å“If they played Liverpool, I’d want them to win. If it’s Barcelona, I want Messi to run rings around them.”
