Roy Keane launched an extraordinary attack on the current Manchester United squad, claiming they will throw manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘under the bus’.
The Norwegian was appointed permanent manager at Old Trafford after a spectacular run of form following Jose Mourinho̢۪s sacking in December.
But, after just four wins from their last 10 games in all competitions, the pressure is on Solskjaer already.
Before the end of Mourinho̢۪s tenure, the Portuguese clashed with several players and questioned their levels of commitment, including Real Madrid target Paul Pogba.
With bitter rivals City on course to win their second Premier League title in a row, former Red Devils captain Keane believes the players must take responsibility for United̢۪s decline.
â€Å“These are the same players that threw [Jose] Mourinho under the bus, and they will do exactly the same to Ole,†Keane said on Sky Sports.
â€Å“Leopards don’t change their spots. There’s too many bluffers at this club to get United back to the very top.
â€Å“Even the point where we’re talking about Man United trying to finish fourth tells you how the standards have dropped at United over the last few years – both on and off the pitch.
â€Å“So it’s a big test for Ole, of course.â€
After succumbing to a 4-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday, Solskjaer told talkSPORT he was sorry after his players delivered an ‘unworthy’ performance at Goodison Park.
But with Champions League qualification slipping away from the Red Devils, Keane stressed the onus is on the players as much as it is the 1999 treble-winner.

â€Å“Hopefully people will agree with me on the studio here; it’s not up to the manager to motivate the players,†the Irishman added.
â€Å“You’ve got to be able to motivate yourself! You’ve got to be up for every game at Manchester United.
â€Å“And the fact Ole has got to discuss it after the game and for the following few days about his players not being up for it, he must be hugely embarrassed.â€
